Vamp up your nails!

Hands up! Who's turned the heating on this week?
I definitely have, where was the transitional weather?
I wasn't overly thrilled about letting go of the summer to begin with, I strongly stand by 'everyone looks better with a tan', but after digging out some comfy jumpers and receiving some beautiful nail polish to try out, I am kind of looking forward to being all cosy and getting back into some darker colours for both my makeup and nails.

I received two nail polishes from Collection, one very summery 'coral' - fruit salad, and one perfect classic red - red hot.
Fruit salad in my opinion is the perfect colour for on your toes, it works perfectly with a tan, isn't too in your face but bright enough to make it noticeable. I love the fact that the bottle is fairly small as I NEVER get through a whole bottle, it took 3 coats to be the exact colour in the bottle and it lasted about 3 days before any chipping, so over all I think it's a lovely buy.

Of course this colour could be worn all year round, but I for one love using colours I associate with the season, which is why I really love red hot.

I've never been a huge fan of red polish but this one seems to be the perfect shade for me plus it matches my favourite red lipstick almost perfectly! It only took one coat to get the perfect colour but I always do two coats no matter what. It applies really evenly and with a top coat it lasted a good 4 days before it needed any maintenance. I can see myself using this a lot over Christmas, especially since I found my sparkly polish!

The other colour I'm really loving again now the weather is taking a turn is Blue Blood by Estee Lauder, originally I wasn't impressed but with the right application, after one coat you can really see the beautiful blue/shimmery tones.

What are your favourite polishes for autumn? Are you ready to start embracing the cold yet?

  1. I am so not ready for autumn, I don't want to start wrapping up yet! I think nice dark rich nail colours are the best for winter
