Birthday Beauty Haul

For my Birthday my Boyfriend Lee kindly paid for me and him to go to Barcelona. I thought while we were there it would be rude not to do a bit of shopping. So I went to the usual shops and bought some clothes but they aren't what this post is about...I had a major beauty blowout! (It was my birthday so it's allowed).

While I was there I went into this cosmetics shop called PRIMOR and they were doing a 3 for 2 sale so in typical Kate-Style I went a little nuts picking up loads. I settled on 6 pieces and then had to go back to get one more thing. (I won't say I wasn't tempted to get more but I resisted) All the things I picked up were from a range called NYX which isn't as well known in the UK as it is in Spain, my sister's friend Kayleigh liked the brand and that's how I knew about it. I'd also heard by one of the girls from here, Kate A I think, that their cream blusher was gorgeous. With it's good reputation in tact I did a little testing in store to see colours and such. NYX can be bought in the UK from the Online Store and selected Next Stores.

My first items were a part of the NYX HD Studio Range: Foundation (which is the product I went back for) in HDF Nude 01 and Primer. Both products are mineral enriched and talc and paraben free.

My next 3 products definitely have a theme. I got a Love in Rio 3 Shade Eyeshadow Palette in "Life is a Cha Cha", Single Eyeshadow in Purple ES32 and a Jumbo Eye Pencil in Velvet Purple. I bet you can't guess what my favourite colour is...

My last 2 products I got from PRIMOR were a Cream Blush (as recommended by Kate A) in Tea Rose and a Smile Brightening Lip Gloss

If you're ever in Barcelona I would recommending going here because it's not only got some great stuff it's really cheap too. All of this came in at just under €40. It's in MareMagnum which is by the Barceloneta Metro Line.

Primor Shopping Bag

When we came home I had birthday money left over due to the fact I wasn't going to go out for my birthday this year because I've had my wisdom teeth pulled out and stitches in my mouth so I would have been no fun so went down to the Trafford Centre and treated myself (as did the boy). So I bought myself some new clothes as well as some beauty treats and Lee bought me some Lush stuff :-)

First up Superdrug, I decided to try some MUA stuff because I've just heard raves about one of the products I bought. I wanted a new sort of neutral palette, I'm starting a new job so want to try and look my best but not OTT so I bought the MUA Eyeshadow Trio in Pink Sorbet (£2.50) and I'm always looking for ways to keep my make up perfect all day long and picked up this to give it a try: MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist (£5.00)

I also noticed that some of my fave skin care was reduced to £3.49 when it's usually £5.99. BiorĂ© Ice Cleanser has been a god send in my life since I started using it in October. I thought since it's cheap I'd buy the Pore Unclogging Scrub also.

And finally onto LUSH where the boy treated me to 2 Bubble Bars and some soap. I bet you can already guess which soap he bought me...that's right, it was PotW a few weeks ago it's Rock Star Soap, I got a 100g bar for £3.40 and the 2 bubble bars were Pop In the Bath in Blue, it's blue with a little daisy on top of it and it smells really lovely and the other is Skies and Fluffy White Clouds which is HUGE I'll probs get about 4-5 uses out of it.

Have you had a little spree lately? Do you love any of the products I picked up? Have you tried NYX and have any suggestions for me to try? I love comments and if you're commenting from another blog then remember to leave your link and I'll comment back on one of your posts.
