The 'AnarKitty' Goldie Brush and Pixie Lott Dry Shampoo Review

Recently I was sent 2 brand new products to review. Denman have teamed up with cult modern artist ‘AnarKitty’ to produce the ‘Goldie’ Denman D3 Classic Brush. And the UK’s No1 dry shampoo brand, Batiste, are proud to announce Pixie Lott as the official face of their 2014 campaign.

The 'Goldie' Brush
British artist Emma Geary AKA ‘Anarkitty’ has created Goldie with a nod to the swinging 60’s. Goldie rocks the iconic beehive. Denman and Anarkitty have combined two of the most influential icons from the 60’s, Audrey Hepburn in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ and Twiggy, to create a design which captures the fashion and culture of women in that era.

The 60’s was a time when bouffants and beehives were considered to be ‘the bigger, the better’. Here, the Denman crown has been added for a modern twist. Goldie’s make-up was inspired by Twiggy’s famous eyeliner on the upper lids and vivid eyelashes. Goldie’s mini dress has been finished with a Denman rococo swirl in homage to the psychedelic prints of the time.

This classic brush is great because it is a nice size and shape, and is lightweight so is ideal to pop in your handbag. It smooths my hair nicely and overall is a good quality staple brush for everyone. It would be perfect as a present and I think it will last a long time.

The Denman D3 AnarKitty ‘Goldie' brush, £7.50, is available to buy from www.denmanbrush.com

Batiste PIXIE LOTT Dry Shampoo
With real celebrity style, Batiste PIXIE LOTT is the must have dry shampoo for instantly refreshing style and volumising hair with a new fun, floral fragrance.

I am already a big fan and regular user of Batiste dry shampoo. It instantly banishes greasy hair and gives it more body and bounce. I have naturally thin and flat hair that gets greasy very quickly, so it is a life-saver! Here are some before and after photos to show the difference it makes:
Before                                            After

The scent: top notes of Bergamot, fruity-ness and lemon, mixed with a floral and cedarwood middle and a base of musk, milk and sandalwood. PIXIE LOTT is a youthful blend of summery florals and warming woods for a clean, fresh scent ideal for hazy days and hazier nights.

How to use Batiste: Give the can a shake and hold it approximately 30cm from hair – spray lightly and evenly. Massage through hair using fingertips and then leave for a moment. Shake again in-between sprays then brush out fully and style.

Batiste PIXIE LOTT is available now in Boots, ASOS, Superdrug, Asda, Sainsbury’s. RRP £2.99 (200ml). For the full Batiste line up see www.batistehair.co.uk.

These two products really work well together if you want to add volume and texture to your hair in a quick and easy way. This is because the Goldie brush is fantastic for backcombing and the dry shampoo is great for adding grip to your hair. Your hairstyle will have more staying power and will also smell beautiful!

Are you a fan of Batiste dry shampoo and Denman hairbrushes?
