Kate's Product of the Week - Star Light Star Bright

This is a part of a challenge I am setting myself to review at least 1 product a week.

Product Number 1 is Star Light, Star Bright from LUSH

I got this before Christmas and it was about £3.50. This was a Christmas Item, some Lush stores still have them in stock.

The main ingredient is Organic Shea Butter and it also contains Cocoa Butter so as you can imagine it leaves your skin feeling very soft and smooth. Also scents of Ginger and Lime leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Inside the melt is a turquoise centre which I imagine are the essential oils of lime, ginger and lavender which lets you delve yourself in a blue bath with major sparkle appear. The outer layer of this melt is pure silver glitter so you might want to wait until you have a free day to do this as it does make you look a bit like Edward from Twilight.

I don't know how well it shows up on the pics but I am very glittery. I did love this product, the smells are amazing you get from it are really amazing. I do hope they bring this out again.

What I liked:
  • The smell of all the oils
  • How soft it has left my skin
  • Feeling like a mermaid in a silvery pool of starlight
  • It doesn't have that over powering smell that some LUSH products have
What I didn't like:
  • I look a little like Edward from Twilight with all the sparkles
  • The clean up of the bath

Overall a lovely product, it's made my skin look and feel amazing and I smell literally the best I've smelt all year. (Hehe!)

Are there any types of products you'd like to see me try or be featured as my product of the week? Let me know in the comments.

  5. Sounds like a lovely product, but not keen on the clean up. I once managed to block our bath with petals from a Lush bath bomb! This didn't make me very popular with hubby!

  9. Hmmm I'm not sure I want to look like I've bathed in glitter . . . and I certainly couldn't be bothered to clean it out of the bath! Not one for me I don't think.
