Dark Romance - Glossy Box October 2013

Autumn is finally upon us and this months Glossy Box has a 'Dark Romance' theme which fits perfectly with the season! As always I was super excited to see what was inside...

Monu Illuminating Primer - A paraben free primer that brightens the complexion and enhances your natural radiance. I LOVEEEEEE this sample, It has SPF 15, it is anti-ageing and it smells great. Even more important is the fact it feels lovely on the skin! This is a 20ml sample and a full sized 50ml bottle would cost £24.95

MeMeMe Cherub's Blush - Cheek & Lip Tint - I've often heard about MeMeMe creating good dupes for the benefit cheek & lip tints and I can instantly see the resemblance to the original Benetint! This product looks a little bit like a nail varnish (as do the benefit tints) and its always great to have long-lasting multi-functional products but unfortunately I just can't agree with the smell - it's hard to explain but it smells just a bit too much like chemicals so I don't think I'll get much use out of it. But for £5.50 (this is a full sized product) it is a great cheaper alternative to a much loved Benefit product!

Eva Cosmetics Mystic Diamond Argon Oil - I love a good hair oil as I think it makes the world of difference to my hair so I'm always excited to try new ones. This argon oil nourishes hair while preventing frizz and creating shine, basically everything you could want from a hair oil. It doesn't smell amazing and I had a really difficult job just getting the lid off (I had to call in the bf for a helping hand) but nonetheless I'm super excited to be giving this a go and I think its a great product to receive in a beauty box. A full sized bottle would cost £22.70

Premae Multi-Vit Smoothie Serum - I'd never heard of this brand before but apparently it is the world's first allergen-free brand which is rather impressive! This serum is designed to soothe redness and hydrate the skin whilst keeping it matte and shine free! This is a great little 20ml sample, and I also love the smell! It smells like refreshers (the sweets everyone was obsessed with as kids!) and its lovely and fresh smelling. A full sized 50ml bottle would cost £22.50

Katy Perry - Killer Queen Frangrance - While I never jump for joy at the sight of a perfume sample in my Glossy Box this does actually smell really nice. Described as 'charmingly playful' it is meant to portray Katy Perry's rebellious spirit. This is a 1.5ml sample and a full sized 50ml bottle would cost £29.50

I have to be honest, at first glance I wasn't really that impressed by the box, but after getting to properly know each product I think this box is great and I'm looking forward to getting to use all my new products! :)

What do you think of this months Glossy Box? Did you receive anything different in your box? Let me know in the comments below....

    1. Yeah I find that with most Glossy Boxes the theme doesn't make much sense but i really liked the products inside and that's the most important thing! :) x
