Kate's Product of the Week - Soap & Glory Archery Eyebrow Pencil

I'm a bit early this week due to it being my Birthday on Thursday (I'll accept gifts and cash ;)) and I am off to Espana for a few days. So, before all the hecticity of packing and checklists begins I thought I would get my 6th PotW post done for our lovely readers!!

Happy Birthday to Me!

This week it's another eyebrow product! I think what I can gather from these PotW posts is that I love Bath Products and I'm big on the brows! Both true!!

What I love being from Liverpool is that a girl can have insanely dark and thick eyebrows and they look like a complete babe! I'm a big fan of dark well defined brows and I have the perfect product that gives me that and more - Soap & Glory's Archery Brow Tint and Precision Shaping Pencil in Brownie Points (RRP £10) and those of you that know me on this blog will know how much I love S&G and really I cannot recommend their products enough! They are hands down some of the nicest products I've ever used. So...onto the post!

Now I've been in love with this product for a little under a year! I don't know how I coped without it. I have what I call "Problem Brows" and from my tweezers post you'll learn that I have fast growing eyebrows and that I used to wax them. I think one time I tweezed or waxed too much because I now have little baldy bits in my brows.

Au Natural Brows!
I think they are hideous and now this product is now my staple and I've used it and mentioned it here many times before but it deffo deserves to be PotW, in my eye(brows)s anyway lol!

Anywhoo, it is a double-ended eyebrow pencil featuring a brow tint (which I prefer to use on it's own for daytime wear) and the other end is almost a crayon which is perfect for building up thick beautiful brows!

With and Without Flash

One of the best things about this product is that it's long wearing and it's also hard wearing. I wore it all day in roasting hot Vegas and not a smudge. This is a hero product in my "look" I try to achieve, yanno, like dramatic eyes and all that.

The tint, as I said, is my favourite end to use on its own for a day time look because it isn't over the top and just defines my brows.

As you can see, it just darkens the brows and all in all makes them look less patchy and baldy

The crayon end is amazing for creating a shape in your brows. You can stick to the natural shape of your brows or if you're feeling adventurous you can create a little more of an angular look. I went for the natural look. It's basically like a crayon the more you "colour in" the darker the shade. In the pic below is about a medium in the colour range you can get with Brownie Points. If you do prefer a lighter colour (or if you're a blondey) then you can always try the other shade called "Love is Blonde"

I've created a much better shape to my brows without making them look scary.

Below is both eyebrows with the left one on your side (tint) looks less bold than the one on your right which has been created into a much nicer shape and more full, perfect for night out brows!

Pro's:
  • It's amazingly long wearing
  • You can create many different looks
  • Using it can really make a difference to your face
  • It's cheap, for £10 I get an unbelievable amount of uses out of it
  • No need for a sharpener because it just twists up and down like a lipstick
  • Can use even on sensitive eyes
Con's:
  • The only thing I can think of is that you can't get it in a darker brown or black.

Hope you've enjoyed my 6th installment. I think this has been one of my favourites to write because it's very picture-heavy and I hope I've done enough to show you how lovely and versatile this product of the week. I will be back blogging after my Birthday and Holidays so I'll leave you in the lovely capable hands of the other girls who I know have some really lovely and exciting posts for you this week.

For Now, Adios!

  5. I don't do my eyebrows at all, but if I do upgrade to that group, I will be coming back to this blog. You can definitely notice the difference, so with all those useful tips it won't be a problem at all. And I have to agree on the S&G addiction, I love their products too. And they smell beautiful!

  7. I've hardly ever had to do my eyebrows although am now starting to play in my old age! My eldest though has strawberry blonde colouring which is gorgeous but means no eyebrows so it's an area I will be delving into when she gets older and wants to play 'make up'
